Barbecued Smoked Sausage
As much smoked sausage as your group needs, cut into 5 to 6 inch pieces (also good with kelbasa sausage)
Plenty of your favorite BBQ sauce
Prepare sausage by scoring sausage diagonally about 1/4 inch deep every 3/4 inch the length of the sausage on opposite sides. then boil sausage for about 3 to 5 minutes until skin shrinks and opens up scores. This allows the BBQ sauce to soak into the meat. Drain sausage and while still warm coat heavily with BBQ sauce. Cover and let set for about 1 hour.
Grill over medium heat until hot throughout. Baste often with extra BBQ sauce.
This sausage goes great with mustard potato salad and a good ear of sweet corn. ENJOY!
