Meatballs

1 pound ground beef
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup milk
1 egg (beaten)
3 tsp parsley flakes
1/2 tsp oregano
3/4 tsp salt
dash pepper
Sauce

1 can diced tomatos 16oz
2 cans tomato paste 6oz
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic (minced)
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp oregano
1 tsp sweet basil
1 bay leaf
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Italian Meatballs
Add all ingredients for meatballs into a bowl and mix coursely.  Roll into 1 to 1-1/4 inch balls. Brown meatballs in a large skillet with a little oil or butter.

Add all ingredients for sauce in a saucepan. Mix well and bring to a slow boil. Add meatballs to sauce, reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.

This makes a great appetizer or can be served over pasta for a meal.
When using as an appetizer, If you double meatball recipe it may not be necessary to double sauce recipe.  ENJOY!
